The Fargo Public Library has several storytime sessions available for families to spend quality time sharing stories, learning school readiness skills, and preparing children for a lifetime of reading. Through the use of age-appropriate stories, songs, and fingerplays in a group setting, staff help parents and caregivers learn how to foster early literacy skills that prepare their children to learn to read.
Registration-only storytimes for toddlers and preschoolers are held in multiple-week sessions during the fall and winter.
Registration for the Fall 2017 Storytime session (September 11-December 13) begins August 1.
There are three ways to register:
- Call Children’s Services at 701.241.1495
- Email kids@fargolibrary.org
- Register online
Family Storytime is open to children ages 18 months to 6 years. Family Storytimes are generally 30 minutes in length.
Be sure to pick up a Storytime Punch Card. Children who attend 10 storytimes earn a free book!
