Tax-Exempt Review Committee to Discuss Current Policy Changes

The Tax-Exempt Review Committee will discuss proposed changes to current policies at its next meeting at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 26 in the City Commission Chambers at Fargo City Hall, 200 3rd Street North. The agenda and proposed changes can be viewed at www.FargoND.gov/TaxExemptReviewCommittee.

Policies that encourage the redevelopment of blighted areas, downtown redevelopment, downtown housing and lower income housing are being reviewed by the City of Fargo. These programs encourage the redevelopment of blighted or underdeveloped areas and increase property values in the City. The programs include Tax Increment Financing (TIF) and Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT).
