In partnership with the Plains Art Museum, the Fargo Public Library is hosting a portion of the Bring Her Home: Stolen Daughters of Turtle Island art exhibit in the library’s entryway gallery and on the second floor at the downtown Main Library now through November 25.

The curated traveling exhibit includes 20 original works from 12 visual artists from across the United States and many tribal nations. Included in the display are new works from Kayeri Akweks, Hillary Kemperich, Cara Romero, Laura Youngbird and others. The art calls attention to the many murdered or missing indigenous women and the #MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women) awareness movement.

For more information on the exhibit, contact Laura Youngbird at the Plains Art Museum at 701.551.6100.

This exhibit is sponsored by the Plains Art Museum as part of the upcoming Native American Festival and Education series of events.

Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public. Adults must accompany children age 9 and younger. For more information, call the Main Library Information Desk at 701.241.1492. The list of upcoming events is available online.
