Library's Winter Writing Project Now Open Through March 4

The Fargo Public Library is seeking submissions for its Northern Narratives third annual winter writing project for adults and teens age 13 years and older. Selected submissions will be included in the library’s North Dakota Collection.

Submissions will be accepted online only through March 4, 2019 at https://fargolibrary.wufoo.com/forms/northern-narratives-2019. All rules and guidelines for the project are available on the library’s Northern Narratives webpage.

Material selected for the print publication will be announced in the spring of 2019 and all submissions must be original, unpublished, proofread, and edited works. All entries are final and stories will not be returned. The selection committee reserves the right to withhold publication at their own discretion. Chosen selections shall be subject to “first rights” copyright. Any future publication, unrelated to the Fargo Public Library, shall require appropriate attribution. The contest categories are:
• Short Stories: 1,500 – 6,000 words
• Essays: 1,000 – 2,500 words
• Poems: less than 750 words

This project is supported by the Friends of the Fargo Public Library.
