Zone: South
Project: 25th Street & 13th Ave S Intersection Reconstruction

Work will soon be complete on the 25th Street South concrete pavement repair (CPR) project. Beginning tonight, August 27, crews are slated to reopen all driving lanes of 25th Street South and restore access at 5th Avenue South intersection. All traffic control will be removed from 25th Street South between 8th Avenue South to just north of 5th Avenue South. Motorist will again be carried in two lanes plus turning lanes on an improved driving surface in both directions.

Following the completion of the repair work, crews will be doing some surface grinding to improve the ride quality and install permanent pavement markings. This work will be completed under traffic using flaggers.

With crews working close to moving traffic, drivers are reminded to slow down, eliminate distractions and pay attention to signage.

The project was completed over two-years and included the full reconstruction of the intersection of 25th Street and 13th Avenue South along with CPR work north of the intersection on 25th Street between 17th Avenue to 2nd Avenue South. Crews removed the deteriorated areas of the driving surface and replaced the area with new concrete, upgraded sidewalks and traffic signals.
