The City of Fargo invites residents, downtown employees and visitors to take advantage of the new streamlined parking system at the Roberts Commons Garage (217 Roberts St. N.) in Downtown Fargo. With convenient access to nearby businesses, restaurants and offices, the secured garage is now using technology and automation to provide frictionless entry and exit.
How It Works:
Cameras are used to auto-detect vehicles for the opening and closing of roll-up doors. Drivers pull into the garage and park in a space. Cameras link the parking session to the vehicle’s license plate. To activate a parking session, scan the QR code posted throughout the garage, enter the license plate number and contact information, select parking duration and submit payment if required. Upon registration, a PIN code is issued in a digital receipt. The PIN code is required for a pedestrian to re-enter the garage to access their vehicle. When exiting by vehicle, drivers pull forward to the overhead door, and the roll-up door opens automatically. All vehicles must be registered, including during free parking periods. Free parking is available daily from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. and weekends from 5 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Monday.
