Fargo Police Department Arrests Male Suspected of Damaging Bell Bank at 3100 13th Avenue South

Jeremy Wayne Peterson, 41 years of age, was unsuccessful at gaining entry into the facility

At 8:28 a.m. this morning (May 16), the Fargo Police Department (FPD) received reports of an individual throwing rock projectiles at the windows of Bell Bank (3100 13th Avenue South).

FPD responded to the scene and arrested Jeremy Wayne Peterson, 41 years of age with no permanent address. Peterson was unsuccessful at gaining entry into the facility but caused damages estimated to be between $10,000 to $15,000.

The FPD arrested Peterson on the following eight charges:

  • Four counts of terrorizing (Class C felonies)
  • One count of criminal mischief (Class C felony)
  • One count of Reckless endangerment (Class C felony)
  • One count of attempted robbery (Class C felony)
  • One count of an assault on a security officer (Class B misdemeanor)

Peterson was medically-cleared at a local healthcare facility and is currently in the Cass County Jail.

No Bell Bank employees or customers were injured in the incident. Bell Bank’s drive-up at the location is temporarily closed.

This incident remains under investigation.
