We lost a member of The City of Fargo family on November 21 with the passing of Jaclynn Davis-Wallette. Jacylnn was an exceptional woman with an extremely kind heart. She was dedicated to her community and was instrumental in the creation of Fargo’s Native American Commission and she served on the Commission and was a champion for Native American residents. I want to offer my condolences to Jaclyn’s family and friends. She will be greatly missed. For those able to attend, her funeral service will be held on December 1 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Fiddler's Hall in Belcourt. A visitation will be held December 2 at 8 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Belcourt.
Street sweepers in the Public Works Department play a crucial role in the fall by gathering fallen leaves before the first snowfall, which helps ensure melting snow and ice can flow freely into storm drains without obstruction. Since October, street sweeper crews have collected an impressive 677 loads of leaves and debris. Here is a short video to see the street sweepers in action.
