The Fargo Police Department Releases Body Worn Camera Videos from July 14, 2023 Critical Incident

The Fargo Police Department is releasing the body-worn camera footage related to the tragic incident on July 14, 2023, in which FPD Officer Jake Wallin was killed in the line of duty. The decision to release this video comes after careful consideration of the ongoing investigation and consultation with relevant authorities.

In an effort to maintain transparency and provide the public with accurate information, these videos will be made available at 9 a.m. on Friday, February 16. The department recognizes the public's right to access information and is committed to fostering trust and accountability within the community, while simultaneously being mindful of the grave sensitivity of the situation.

This collection of redacted squad car and body-worn camera footage (reviewed and packaged by the North Dakota Attorney General’s Office) from the critical incident were shown at the joint news conference.

Please be advised that the footage may be extremely distressing and viewer discretion is strongly advised as the videos contain sensitive subject matter (including profanity and the use of firearms).
