Homelessness in Fargo

Homelessness affects many people in Fargo-Moorhead on any given night.

The City of Fargo works with the North Dakota Continuum of Care and local homeless coalition through the City’s Department of Planning and Development, Public Health’s Gladys Ray Emergency Shelter, Harm Reduction, and Downtown Engagement Center, as well as local nonprofit housing, shelter, and support partners.

Every year, a Point-in-Time count is conducted in January to show who is experiencing homelessness on any given night in our region.

Information on the Point-in-Time count can be found on the North Dakota Continuum of Care’s website at ndcontinuumofcare.org and the FM Coalition to End Homelessness website at fmhomeless.org.
