Liquor Control Board Meeting - April 19, 2017 Minutes

Present: Commissioner Piepkorn, Commissioner Gehrig, Police Chief Dave Todd, City Auditor Steve Sprague, Grant Larson, Environmental Health

Absent: None

Others Present: Rick Carik, Rick’s; Dustin Mitzel, Happy Harry’s, Jared Hardy, Fargo Brewing, Aaron Duma, Sanctuary Events Center, Joe Burgum, concerned citizens and other members of the industry.

Meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M.

1. Commissioner Piepkorn called the meeting to order and asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes of March 15, 2017. There were no additions or corrections to the minutes of March 15, 2017. Moved by Gehrig, seconded by Larson to approve the minutes of the March 15, 2017 meeting of the Liquor Control Board; all voted in favor, motion passed unanimously.

2. A. The transfer application by the American Legion was withdrawn at the request of the applicant.

3. A request to amend the licensed premise was received from the Sanctuary Events Center; this amended premise includes an outdoor patio space and other areas inside the structure that were previously under construction. Moved by Gehrig, seconded by Todd to approve the amended licensed premise.

4. Other items, Chief Todd asked if Fort Noks had amended their licensed premise. Sprague indicated he received a request but a few months ago but failed to get the request before this Board. He will bring the application to the next meeting.

There being no further business to come before the Liquor Control Board, the meeting was adjourned at 1:35 p.m. The next regular meeting will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the City Commission Room.
