LIQUOR CONTROL COMMITTEE MEETING
August 15, 2018 1:30 P.M.

Present: Commissioner Piepkorn, Commissioner Gehrig, Deputy Chief Todd Osmundson, City Auditor Sprague, Grant Larson, Environmental Health,
Absent: Police Chief Todd
Others Present: Assistant City Attorney Nancy Morris; Duane Litton, Duffy’s; Nick Hill & John Paul Klein, Pixeled Brewery; Doug Murch, Comney Law; Other members of the media, concerned citizens and other members of the industry.

Meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M.

1. Commissioner Piepkorn called the meeting to order and asked if there were any additions or corrections to the minutes of July 18, 2018. There were no additions or corrections to the minutes of July 18, 2018. Moved by Gehrig, seconded by Larson to approve the minutes of the July 18, 2018 meeting of the Liquor Control Board all voted in favor, motion passed unanimously.

2. A. The first application to be considered today is for the issuance of a Class “Y” alcoholic beverage license to Pixeled Brewing Co LLC d/b/a Pixeled Brewing Co to be located at 1100 NP Avenue North.
There were no questions or comments regarding this application.
Moved by Gehrig, seconded by Larson to approve the issuance of a Class “Y” alcoholic beverage license to Pixeled Brewing Co LLC d/b/a Pixeled Brewing Co to be located at 1100 NP Avenue North, all voted in favor, motion passed unanimously.

B. The second application to be considered today is for the issuance of a Class “H” alcoholic beverage license to Taco Trompo d/b/a Taco Trompo to be located at 4265 45th Street South, Suite 113.
There were no questions or comments regarding this application.
Moved by Gehrig, seconded by Larson to approve the issuance of a Class “H” alcoholic beverage license to Taco Trompo d/b/a Taco Trompo to be located at 4265 45th Street South, Suite 113, all voted in favor, motion passed unanimously.

C. The third application to be considered today is for the issuance of a Class “GH” alcoholic beverage license to Gorkha Palace d/b/a Gorkha Palace to be located at 1000 45th Street South, Suite 300A.
There were no questions or comments regarding this application.
Moved by Gehrig, seconded by Larson to approve the issuance of a Class “GH” alcoholic beverage license to Gorkha Palace d/b/a Gorkha Palace to be located at 1000 45th Street South, Suite 300A, all voted in favor, motion passed unanimously

3. Commissioner Piepkorn asked Deputy Chief Osmundson for a report on the Street Fair and how the public consumption worked. Osmundson commented that the Street Fair was well organized and Sgt. Helmik was heavily involved with the DCP in setting the parameters. The boundaries were well established and the PD looked at the public interaction as an education opportunity. Sgt. Helmik’s report indicated calls for service were up to 50 calls less than a normal weekend. There were good reports regarding Corks N Canvas also. Osmundson said wrist bands may prove difficult in the winter months with long sleeves and winter coats.

There being no further business to come before the Liquor Control Board, the meeting was adjourned at 1:41 p.m. The next regular meeting will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the City Commission Room at old City Hall.
