Beginning as early as Monday, August 4, contractors working with The City of Fargo will start bypass pumping operations as part of a rehabilitation project at Sanitary Sewer Lift Station 62 in the far southwest corner of Fargo. This lift station provides sanitary sewer service to the Grayland, Rocking Horse and Deer Creek neighborhoods near 52nd Avenue South and Veterans Boulevard.

To support this work and reduce strain on the system, residents in the Grayland, Rocking Horse and Deer Creek neighborhoods are strongly encouraged to redirect sump pump discharge outdoors, rather than into the sanitary sewer system. This step will significantly reduce the volume needing to be bypassed and will help minimize the risk of potential sewer backups or disruptions to surrounding properties. Before diverting sump pump discharge outdoors, residents should ensure their discharge lines are clear. Residents with questions are encouraged to contact The City of Fargo’s Regional Water Reclamation Utility at 701.241.1454.

The Water Reclamation Utility appreciates the cooperation of residents as improvements are made to the vital infrastructure serving the community.
