Area gardeners are invited to learn how to grow plants from seeds for pollinator and wildlife habitats at the Prairie Garden Workshop event on Tuesday, April 21, at 6 p.m. at the downtown Main Library, located at 101 4th St. N.

Experts from the United Prairie Foundation, a North Dakota-based nonprofit group that has contributed to local prairie restoration projects such as the Urban Plains Park, will share ideas on how to design, plant and maintain a prairie garden. No registration is required for this free event and all materials will be provided at this informational session. Free seed packets will be distributed as part of the event.
