The Metro Fire Academy will hold a graduation ceremony for five Fargo Fire Department recruits and four Moorhead Fire Department recruits on Friday, May 22, beginning at 9 a.m. in the City Commission Chambers located in Fargo City Hall (225 4th St. N.).
The ceremony will recognize the 14th graduating class of the Metro Fire Academy, which operates through a collaboration of the Fargo, West Fargo and Moorhead fire departments. During the academy’s 18-week training program, recruits complete classroom work, drills, ride-alongs and live burn scenarios. The program provides hands-on training in a controlled environment to prepare recruits for real-world emergency situations.
Prior to the graduation, the Fargo Fire Department will host a pinning ceremony at 8 a.m. on Friday, May 22, in City Commission Chambers for six firefighters being promoted to the rank of Captain.
The general public and members of the media are invited to attend the graduation and pinning ceremonies in person or watch live at TVFargo.com or on The City of Fargo’s social media platforms.
