Due to structural concerns at the current location of the Ground Transportation Center, the MATBUS downtown hub will be relocating effective Monday, August 17.
Fixed-route rides will be FREE on Saturday, August 15, since that is the day computer systems are being transferred between locations. Customer service staff will still be at the 502 NP Ave. location, but will not be able to load funds or sell passes on that day.
The new hub will be located at the former Downtown Engagement Center building at 222 4th St. N. in Fargo. The building will have a public lobby where riders can buy passes or get assistance.
Buses will line up in designated sections on 4th Street North and 3rd Avenue North, and signage will direct riders to their route's loading area. The same intersection was used as a temporary hub in 2020 while the Ground Transportation Center was under construction. There will be no changes to route timetables.
The new location will be used as the MATBUS downtown hub until further notice. MATBUS staff will continue working to find a more permanent solution.
