The City of Fargo will host a listening session on Monday, Sept. 21, to hear from renters, landlords, property managers and other community members about what’s working well and where there are opportunities to improve the rental housing experience in Fargo. The listening session will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at Fargo City Hall, 225 4th St. N.
Residents are encouraged to attend the listening session and share their ideas for how the City of Fargo and community partners can strengthen rental housing in Fargo. City leaders will use the input to better understand the strengths and challenges related to rental housing and identify potential ways to address them.
“Safe, quality housing is vital to our community, and we want to hear directly from the people who experience our rental housing system every day,” said Fargo Mayor Josh Boschee. “This solutions-focused listening session is an opportunity to have a greater conversation about rental housing in Fargo and how we can continue to make our community a great place to live.”
The listening session will be livestreamed on the City of Fargo's social media platforms and TVFargo.com. Residents unable to attend in person are encouraged to share their input through the Contact Your Commissioners webpage at FargoND.gov.
Members of the Fargo City Commission and other boards are invited to attend the listening session so quorums may be present.
