Join us this Saturday, Sept. 9, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the downtown Main Library for the first fall 2017 Paws to Read event. Furry friends from Therapy Pets of the Red River Valley will lend an ear as they listen to kids practice reading in a relaxed, informal setting. Developing readers in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade can cuddle up and read to a certified therapy pet. Sessions are 15 minutes long and are scheduled for the 2nd Saturday of each month (Sept. - April). Bring your own book, or pick one from our collection. Space is limited; registration is required. To sign up or to register, contact Children's Services at 701.241.1495 or email kids@fargolibrary.org.
Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public. Adults must accompany children age 9 and younger. Check out the library's online calendar of events for a list of upcoming programs and activities.
