Residents Encouraged to Apply to Serve on Fargo’s Sustainability and Resiliency Committee (SRC)

City Commission recently voted to expand SRC membership to include two additional public appointments

The City of Fargo has two openings on its Sustainability and Resiliency Committee. Residents are encouraged to apply for appointment by visiting FargoND.gov/GettingInvolved. Applications will begin to be reviewed on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 and applying before that date is encouraged and appreciated.

Name of Board: Sustainability and Resiliency Committee

Opening(s): Two (2) Committee Members

Meeting Logistics: Second Tuesday of every other month at 3 p.m.

Average Time Commitment: Two to three (2-3) hours per month

Responsibilities:

  1. Develops recommendations for City sustainability and resiliency action.
  2. Promotes environmental stewardship efforts in The City of Fargo.
  3. Evaluates existing City sustainability efforts and potentials for improvement.

Ideal candidates are passionate about climate issues and eager to voice their thoughts to engage in the committee. Diversity is also an important consideration.

In addition to this opening, residents are encouraged to research and apply for appointment to any of the boards, commissions and committees for consideration in the event of future vacancies.
