Convention Center Committee

During the November 2024 election, Fargo voters approved an additional 3% tax on hotel and motel stays, with the proceeds financing the construction of a convention center. The City Commission formed a Convention Center Committee to create and manage a Request for Proposal (RFP) process for the selection of a convention center project. The RFP was distributed to parties interested in entering a partnership with The City of Fargo to build a convention center and other amenities. Following the submission period, the Committee reviewed the proposals and presented a recommendation to the City Commission.
