Engineering Technician II - Evan Olson
Evan Olson has served in the Engineering Department as an Engineering Technician II for two years. In this role, he supports The City’s infrastructure projects through both fieldwork and technical drafting.
During the construction season, Evan works as a project inspector, ensuring that construction activities meet City standards and specifications. In the winter months, he transitions into a drafter role, preparing detailed technical drawings that support the planning and execution of public improvement projects.
Evan was selected for the Fargo Rising Star Award in recognition of his outstanding attitude, strong work ethic and exceptional initiative. He consistently takes on additional responsibilities with a self-starter mindset and approaches his work with care and precision.
Evan’s willingness to go above and beyond makes him a valuable member of the Engineering team and a trusted resource in both the field and the office.
In recognition of his contributions, Evan received the Fargo Rising Star Award, an honor presented at The Fargo City Commission meeting and bestowed by the leadership of the Engineering / GIS Department.
