Cass Clay Food Action Network

The purpose of the Food Action Network is to facilitate connections and leverage capacity of partners to increase access to safe, nutritious and affordable food for all residents of Cass and Clay counties. This Network works with partners to sponsor First Fridays events.

Events: On the first Friday of every month, Food of the North and the Cass Clay Food Partners host First Fridays, a new platform to engage and discuss important food topics in the Fargo-Moorhead community. These free events are open to all with the program beginning at 8:00 a.m. Feel free to arrive at 7:30 a.m. to enjoy free Thunder Coffee and networking. Meetings take place at 701 Eateries (701 N University Dr, Fargo).

The Program will:

  • Include a food related presentation from a featured group or organization followed by discussion
  • Provide the opportunity for Action Network members to share upcoming events, projects, and volunteer opportunities
  • Encourage cross promotion of food related events and engage community members and students in unique opportunities
  • Provide updates on the work of the Cass Clay Food Commission and work together with the Commission on policy relating to food systems issues

Interested in Joining?: The Food Action Network is open to any individual or organization working to advance the mission of the Cass Clay Food Partners. Visit Food of the North for meeting announcements and additional information.
