Library Locations and Hours

UPDATED 1/3/2023: Fargo Public Library facilities have new service hours.
Hours are as follows:
Main Library* (101 4th St. North)
• Monday – Thursday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Friday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Sunday*: 1 to 6 p.m.

Dr. James Carlson Library* (2801 32nd Ave. South)
• Monday – Thursday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Friday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Sunday*: 1 to 6 p.m.

Northport Library (2714 N. Broadway)
• Monday – Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Wednesday – Thursday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Friday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Sunday: Closed

*Summer Hours: Both the Main Library and the Dr. James Carlson Library are closed Sundays from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

*Fall/Winter Hours: Both the Main Library and the Dr. James Carlson Library are open Sundays from Labor Day through Memorial Day (except for holidays).

Parking at the Main Library

Parking at the downtown Main Library is free and easily accessible. Parking is available in the Civic Center/Library (V1 Lot) parking lot located on the east side of the building along 3rd Street North. Additional parking is also available on the west side of the Main Library (V2 Lot).

Handicapped accessible parking spaces are available for library patrons in both of these parking lots.
